THE EXPERIENCE

Journey with me, with us, into the heart of the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York... we will gather at Light on the Hill— a beautiful contemplative retreat center nestled in 236 acres of rolling hills, meadows and forests. Together, we will nourish ourselves deeply with a long weekend of transformational practices, natural beauty and deep rest.  I’ve been holding space here for several years & feel so blessed to be able to do so- it is an incredibly special place & makes a magnificent container for deep work, healing & transformation.

We'll have the mindfully designed Center all to ourselves: a gorgeous practice space with panoramic views; labyrinths for walking; a beautiful sacred space dedicated to meditation; decks overlooking the rising mist in the morning; trails to wander and an amazing kitchen (staffed by beautiful souls who pour love into and serve up such amazingly delicious goodness. The grounds are beauty medicine and the energy of this place is undeniable.

Together we will share in intuitively guided, intention infused practices to support you in finding ease, spaciousness & freedom in body,  mind and heart. Themes of radical acceptance, compassion, forgiveness & presence will be integrated in ceremony, inquiry, ritual & reflection.

Days will begin in loving silence & be book*ended with meditation. Practices of breathwork, mantra, lunar and solar inspired movement, grounding and heart opening asana, restorative forms and yoga nidra will be woven throughout the day & into the night.
Held by the embrace of beloved community, the wider embrace of compassionate loving awareness and the open arms of our Mother the Earth, we will come home… to ourselves, the moment & the treasure that is here… tending the heart fire & the well of peace within, nourishing deeply.

You may choose to remain on site for the duration of your stay- many choose to do so- making use of “free” time to explore the grounds, craft, journal, read or simply be. The surrounding environs offer ample opportunity to experience the extraordinary beauty of this region. In the past, some choose to make their way to nearby Robert S Treman Park- where spectacularly beautiful trails meander through 1,100 acres of absolute gorgeousness...  you'll find yourself walking along multi-tiered cascading waterfalls which carve their way through a deep gorge, surrounded by moss covered outcroppings of shale. There are quite a few other parks nearby (including Watkins Glen State Park, Buttermilk Falls & others). Consider stopping off at my favorite Farmers Market en route home featuring artisans, incredible produce & delicious food (do not miss the Cambodian goodness being served)- the vibe is lovely & I find Steamboat Landing makes for a spectacular stop & a nice way to emerge from retreat (plus you get to bring some goodness home with you in plant/flower/food/craft form).
